Inspiration Behind the Painting:

Bridge Over the Pond of Water Lilies - 

Claude Monet was one of the founders of Impressionism, and his garden at Giverny was a huge source of inspiration for his paintings.
He created this beautiful pond filled with water lilies, with a lovely Japanese-inspired arched bridge running across it.
What I love about this painting is the play of colours and the darker tones.
So, when I designed this saree, I chose a soft pearl pink for the body to create a beautiful contrast. And I carried the painting-inspired design along the border of the saree.
I absolutely love how the colours come together!
